Cryptocurrency
We accept over 70 types of cryptocurrencies through The Giving Block platform. Donating cryptocurrency Is Tax Efficient for cryptocurrency HODLers. When you donate Bitcoin and other crypto, you generally owe no capital gains tax.
Donor Advised Funds
If you have a donor advised fund, you have the flexibility to recommend how much and how often funds are granted to Elk Hill.
Legacy Gifts
You can make a bequest in your will or living trust and specify an amount, percentage, or remainder of assets. You can also designate Elk Hill as the primary or contingent beneficiary for your IRA, 401k, or other retirement accounts.
IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly without having to pay income taxes. If you are 72 or older, this gift can also satisfy your required minimum distribution.
Stock Gifts

and will allow Elk Hill to serve
